What It’s Like To Stay In A Breathtaking Bali Villa

I’ve had my fair share of staying in gorgeous resorts in my lifetime, but nothing has come close to the experience I had at La Berceuse Resort and Villa in Nusa Dua. In the words of Gary, our stay in this stunning Bali villa felt like a palace for two. A really big palace for two.

Bali is a destination that keeps people coming back, and rightly so. With picture-perfect landscapes and friendly culture, what’s not to love about Bali? There are also different accommodations for any unique preferences, and as we know too well, where you stay has an enormous impact on your trip.

For example, this Bali villa at La Berceuse made us feel spoiled and as if the villa could be a home of our own. Nothing could contain my excitement as I walked into this beautiful Bali villa. I spent what seemed like a long stretch of time appreciating every detail that created this breathtaking ambiance.

The villa was the perfect hideaway for us to be away from the world. It was as if we were in our own 1,200 square feet bungalow rather than in a resort.

A quiet place for two in this Bali villa

While La Berceuse Resort And Villa has over 30 units, we felt like we were the only ones on the resort during our stay. We would not have guessed that this resort was almost at full capacity given the serene ambiance. We never heard our neighbours during our stay, save for the crickets and geckos.

This Bali villa is designed with the Balinese architecture as the foundation.

Each villa has a private swimming pool with a wooden sun deck, dining room, kitchen and living room. The whole villa has an open-air concept, which is pretty neat.

Private swimming pool in this Bali villa

I’ve never stayed in a villa before, let alone be in a place with a private swimming pool. The only feeling I felt in my mind was that this felt so surreal. This moment seemed like a dream.

Having your own private pool with 24-hour access was fantastic. I enjoyed the seclusion and loved making silly tai-chi-like moves in the pool (yes, I’m weird but life’s too short to NOT be silly!).

The bathroom is very very spacious, featuring marble and a shower with natural stone. The photos do not do this bathroom justice and does not convey the grand feeling I felt from being in such a large bathroom. This must be the largest bathroom I’ve ever been in for an accommodation.

While the rest of the rooms were in an open concept space, the bedroom was in a large room with air conditioning.

All the furniture is made of Teak wood, leaving an authentic Balinese feel to the room.

The kitchen had a stove top and came stocked with pots and pans.

La Berceuse offers complimentary afternoon tea, which you can drink in the restaurant or the villa. Of course, we chose to have our afternoon tea in our private Bali Villa!

I love the balance of reclusiveness in an open space concept. To enjoy the breeze and tropical weather while you’re eating your meal is an amazing feeling. Or lounge around in the living room, watching the clouds create pretty patterns in the sky.

The living room is a great space to have a relaxing evening with a book. There is also a TV in this room for guests to use.

This Bali villa is great not only for couples who want a getaway but a family or group of friends as well since every villa has two bedrooms.

Romantic Candlelight Dinner in a Bali villa

We had the opportunity to experience a romantic dinner at another villa in La Berceuse. We didn’t know what to expect except that we needed to show up in the villa at 7 pm.

When we walked into the villa, this is what we saw:

Every dish was fantastic with fresh ingredients which makes the meal that much tastier. The meat was very delicious since it came from grass-fed cattle.

When we spoke with Mardiana, the head chef later in the evening, we found out that all the dishes were plated just for us! Mardiana was relieved to know that we took photos of each dish because the kitchen was so busy that he didn’t have the chance to take some for himself. As you can see here, the food plating turned out beautiful.

Gary and I were stuffed by the end of the meal. I’m just so thankful that I made a full recovery from my stomach early that morning! I swear, everything happens for a reason and the universe wanted me to eat this delicious meal! Before this romantic dinner, I hadn’t eaten for almost six days and thought I wouldn’t be able to eat for the rest of my Bali trip. Thank goodness I made a full recovery literally hours before this meal.

La Berceuse Bali villa is the perfect vacation getaway

Time moved incredibly slow, whenever I remembered to take note of it. I think this is because I was truly savouring every moment in this Bali villa.

Never have we felt so spoiled by space and beautiful weather. Words cannot describe how present I felt. Tranquility, peace, rejuvenation, whichever way you want to describe it. It’s all the same. There was no sense of time, just the rhythmic sound of the pool and the rustling leaves in the garden.
